STEP 3 modules
The STEP 3 specifications include all of the material covered in the "Mathematics 1" and STEP 2 specifications as well as some additional Further Mathematics topics such as hyperbolic functions and polar coordinates. You can download the current STEP specification from the OCR STEP website.
These modules assume that you have already developed your problem solving skills by working through the Foundation modules and STEP 2 modules. We recommend that you start these STEP 3 modules around January of Year 13.

STEP 3 Algebra
This module contains some STEP 3 questions involving Algebra and Trigonometry. Each STEP 3 module consists of some STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Calculus
This module introduces you to STEP 3 Calculus questions. Note that differential equations are contained in a separate module! Each STEP 3 module consists of 4 STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Complex Numbers
This module introduces you to STEP 3 questions involving Complex Numbers. Each STEP 3 module consists of 4 STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Coordinate Geometry (including Polar Coordinates)
This module contains STEP questions on coordinate geometry and polar coordinates. Each STEP 3 module consists of STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Differential Equations
This module introduces you to STEP 3 differential equations questions. Each STEP 3 module consists of some STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Hyperbolic Functions
This module contains STEP 3 questions on Hyperbolic Functions. Each STEP 3 module consists of 4 STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Matrices
Matrices were reintroduced to the STEP specifications in 2019. This module introduces you to the matrices topics included in the STEP 3 specification. This STEP 3 module consists of some matrices questions from a range of sources, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" document and a "solutions" document
STEP 3 Mechanics
This module contains Mechanics questions based on the STEP 3 specification. Each STEP 3 module consists of STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Statistics
This module introduces you to STEP 3 questions from the Statistics section of the specification. Each STEP 3 module consists of 4 STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" sheet and a "solutions" booklet.
STEP 3 Vectors
For the 2019 STEP specifications the vector content has been expanded to include the vector product and equations of planes in STEP 3. This module introduces you to these topics. This STEP 3 module consists of some old STEP questions, some topic notes and useful formulae, a "hints" document and a "solutions" document.
Mixed STEP 3 Pure questions
This assignment contains a selection of STEP 3 Pure questions, each one with a preparation question beforehand.
